6 Point Superman Mixtape

and my first poster girl... thanx POTLUCKFUCK =D

This is the final mixtape of this series... that's right people my poor little netbook that I have used and abused for the last year is finally getting a replacement. It has served me well, dropped, thrown, travelled accross europe and screamed at night after night, yet sadly it is about to get replaced with a shiny new bunch of DJ gear. SO I thought it would be appropriate to make a mix tape that really has a message. I have been working on this set for some time.. and will probably re-release it when I have perfected it with the new gear. So this is the end to glitchy, mashy, lets be honest downright rubbishy mixes... and yet here is a thourghbly ear bashing, brain bleeding mish-mash of electro indie and dubstep and I have to say this is the hardest darkest and grimeyest mix of them all.SO say HELLO to the 6 POINT SUPERMAN and Sam A Muze's First Death Electro Mix.

There is also something to say about where the name of this mix comes from... I was browsing my FB account some time ago and was lucky to watch the one of the sickest videos (sick in both good and bad ways) Its not often you see someone who has soo much dedication to there music, lifestyle and scene but Nick Painless from Isle of Wight band Shanklin Freaksow shows that type of dedication by DJ'ing suspended from the ceiling by 6 hooks through his skin. Thanx for the insperation... hope I can stay dedicated too.

This new Herve Track just dropped over at Chemical Jump, and as expected it is full of awesome drum work and a jaw dropping build up; what more do you need from one of the UK's best producers at the moment; I also thought it would be fun to throw in an old remix or two of his... just so you can have it all.. he is releasing a new single.. you should probably go buy it.. me too =P

Also as you have managed to get this far dont foget about my first Mixtapes;

Free Bass Music

Here is a great little idea for your next music project.. set up a blog and gently update it with original content for a little while, after you have started to get noticed and developed a few followers/readers why not release your own album.... don't sell it... just give it away, and if your not giving enough away; tell the world how you've promoted the whole process, and how successful the techniques are... well, thats an idea that seems to work.

Id and Baobinga, two highly acclaimed producers turned bloggers started bass music blog in 2009 to promote there work and those of there fellow DJ friends. They have just released (yesterday) The Bass Music sessions for a little donation to a good cause or free if you cant afford that.... and let me say its worth the little sign up process. (GET IT HERE) The tunes are blend of afro beat, two step and bass wobble madness, with a few hip hop samples throw in for good measure. You can tell I've only listened to it once soo far, because I feel it is not exactly ground breaking and definitely wont make it into the "Hit Parade" for a little while but it has created a lot of blog buzz and is definitely something to have on your iPod. I just wonder how long it will last. From a blogger/muzeo point of view it is very interesting to see how they are documenting the process of the whole album release, The Dairy of an album launch is giving fans a behind the scene view of how a band goes about getting itself "noticed" in these modern times.

Class Actress

Is this the next big blogo-miss?? or the latest marketing kick from some unknown band desperate to make it... well its deffinately up there with Ellie Goulding and Little Boots... but it lacks origionality. I feel that everything is lacking a bit of origionality or maybe its just what I'm up to in my life... anyway still working away on mixtapes and stuff as well as the new blog design so keep ur eyes on this space... and enjoy these tracks.

Class Actress - Journal of Ardency

Class Actress - Let me take you out

CANT - Ghosts (Class Actress Remix)

Sneaker Tweeters

More superb shoes, sick kicks and great tracks what more does a man need??? This post is too celebrate my super duper new Twitter list Sneaker tweeters.... check it out if you want to get ur own custom shoes and be a real ghetto super star!

These custom nike's simply titled "Stars" are from one of my fave sneaker cutomizers "Artist Luna"... you can check out her sneakers here and she has recently been customizing for LL cool J as well as other famous peeps... you should check out her new blog too. I love her almost high fashion approach to shoe customization, she does some great girls shoes too all hand painted and uniquely designed just too make you stand out from the crowd a little bit more.

Soo maybe not high fashion, but deffo a sneaker freaker himself here is french DJ Brodinski's new mixtape... ENJOY!!!

Bonus -

Remix my kicks have heaps of shoes available over on there website, you can even customize your own, with swarsky crystal, gator fabric and bumps. One of my fave has to be these custom "gators" deffo something I could be seen rocking down oxford street... though I'am a bit worried about the rain... do they transform and start snapping at passers by??

Here is a great dub-step remix of an old Redman tune just to get you in that creative mood when you want to design your own sweet sneakers...

BONUS -

Finally these superb custom Nike Autoflights titled "Ambivielent Orbs" from evolved footwear -they have these orbs which light up and cycle through several different colours... what a sick raver shoe... or for walking down country roads in the dark. I love these guys use of lights in there shoes it reminds me of when I was 11 and mum wouldnt buy me the light ups I wanted... well now worries I'm now saving up for a pair of these.. if I can get hold of them...

Oooo and a little more dubstep to wrap it all up with...

Dandy Deadelus

Alfred DarlingtonImage via Wikipedia

Alfred Darlington aka Daedelus is the electro world dandy, his synth wizardry poses to be inspiring for any wannabe electro producers who dream of breaking the mold. It is neither as hard core or as dancey I as most of the tracks that I post but.. too much of the same thing can get a bit boring. Any-way Daedelus is set to bring out a new EP - Rightious fists of Harmony so I thought I would share this promo track with you.

Also along the same vane, I got sent this promo track from German producer Georg Levin, who is also releasing a new record Everything Must Change... I like the simplicity of this record... deffinately something for my mellow sunday's.

These are Powers

grapE and envy~ super powered

Burping Super Powers??
Ohhh cool another indie band I like.. hope you do to brooklyn based These Are Powers sound like a marching band with scary Emo girls singing along. I like it, could they be a contender to Crystal Castles??

Although it was Crystal Castles was the first real indie band I loved since hearing Nirvana aged 13, "These Are Powers" have caught my attention because of there ramshackle crazy sound which really doesn't sound like anything else I've ever heard. "These Are Powers" individual blend of noise rock, electro samples and haunting female vocals have hit the spot and I have had there latest EP "Sploshing" has been stuck on repeat all day.

Donovan

Polina
is this just a french thing???

Donovan are'nt just mates with the guys who polish daft punks helmets <-- this is from there fb page, I'm not sure they are aware of the double entendre =D Helmet polishing aside this polished parisian duo have been remixing there way to the top with an impressive fistfull of artists, including Bob Sinclare and Sebastien Tellier in there production portfolio. There personal brand of electro has a lo-fi/lo-esteem/too cool for school French sound, synths tear over dense breakbeat electro to make a come again dance music that will sooth the hips of any dancefloor hipsterrs.
There EP Chord is out on citezen records and there busy working on new material, I noticed that they tweeted getting into a newly revamped studio with fukkk offf. Watch out for these Parisian lads as they will be tearing up a club near you before not too long...

A Beautiful Ghostape

The ghosts in my grandmother's house
no surprise I found it quite hard to find pictures of ghosts!!

Swiss based Live electro band Ghostape sent me this tracks the other day, and I think there sick!! Something to be mellow with on a Sunday rather than get messy with on Friday night, Beautifully crafted beats and melody's make me dream of sitting on top of mountain tops watching the clouds fly by.
Definitely something to add to your rapidly growing music collection...

Ellie and Tiga

Ohh Ellie.... confirming your love for this girl can go no further than enjoying these sick remixes!!

Found some of these tracks floating around the net... but cos I know that there old.. Im not gunna make too much of a fuss. Tiga does rock tho!!

SLUGABED

Petula - In Bed 1412

WTF does that mean I hear you cry... well apart for being one of the UK's coolest wonky DJ/producers. Slugabed actually means someone who stays in bed way too long... yes it could be me.. I'm a slugabed. But the real Slugabed has to be one of the most productive layabouts out there! He's been beavering away on loads of remixes and a brand new EP - Ultra Heated Treated. Here are some tunes for you to sink your teeth into. (thanks to the dudes over at Kidcityblog for the tunes =)

Classixx and Kicks...

Custom Nike Blazer "Walking On Water"

Sick kicks and some sick tracks to go with... you can get the music for free... but good luck on getting free sneakers.

Reebok RETRO POP (USLU Airlines)

As you might notice all these tracks are from LA based producers/DJ's Classixx who's personal brand of sunny electro tunes are a great especially wearing some retro specs and a pair of these sick Reebok's.

KR3W Franklin

Though some times we need to get a bit more serious these new grey bad-boys (from a new brand kr3w) will make you look smart but hip... specially with these tunes on your iPod.

Do you wanna be in da video??

Here's a great little viral campaign from IOW dance duo CESM. Random... but do u wanna be a video star?? Join this group.. listen to this track.... then send them a MPEG of all the stuff you got up to when you heard the tune.
I was thinking Bondage, Bloody Mary's and a psychiatric hospital....

Remix Remix and Re-fix

I have found so many sick new remixes recently that I just had to share a few with you... so hold on to your horses as we prepare to blow your speakers.... remixes to take you to heaven and back again!!

Shy Child - Disonnected (Anoraak remix)

Delphic Acolyte

Your thoughts temporarily deceived.

Delphic's new album Acolyte has to be one of this years most exciting albums yet.. I have been listening to it quite intensely the last couple of days, and enjoying it. Synth/electro pop doesn't seem to be getting any worse though I do expect it to start dying sometime at the end of this year. It is defenately comparable to Empire of the Sun's album last year, you have to give a bit of time but once it lodges into your head you really want to hear it again and again. So here are a few tracks, Get of your arse and buy it if you like it!!!

Drums of Death

I noticed this new remix from Drums of Death on twitter... and because I've been a bit out of the loop this week I thought it would be a great little beginning to the slurge of posts I'm aboout to let loose. Drums of Death have been around for a while now the scot zombie faced synth/bass freak has made some great remixes including peaches and now Hot Chip... hope you enjoy =D

(P.S There are more Hot chip - One Life Stand remixes here and HERE)
